Jesse Funk Design is a collective of experts in their respective fields to create a combined force in the world of branding. JFD specialises in branding and collateral design including logo and brand identity design, packaging, marketing material and advertising design. With a background of working across a number of different
projects in various industries the scope of work and experience continues to grow with each project.

JFD is the evolution of a freelance business into an innovative, collaborative branding design studio. The driving force and sole in-house employee of JFD is Jesse Funk, who is instrumental in bringing together like-minded, highly-skilled creatives to collaborate on any project to bring a client’s vision to fruition.

Jesse Funk is a Northern Beaches born, raised and based designer with 6 years experience working as a freelancer. After learning the fundamentals of design at UTS and graduating with a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication, freelance clients and constant work made the transition from study to running a business seamless and frankly a no-brainer. Focusing mainly on a clean, modern and progressive style, the objective with every new client is to connect with each individual project’s subjective goal and bring the client’s vision to life.

The work and client base is constantly expanding across new and exciting projects, industries and environments with endless capacity. Jesse Funk Design is an ever evolving collaborative branding studio constantly adapting to new trends and innovations.

The following systems are implemented throughout the creative process to assist in striving to a successful outcome. These techniques for design-led innovation ensure a quality solution for aesthetic success.

D E F I N E
The all important first step in any project, we identify client targets by listening and learning about their goals. Our aim here is to understand the client’s vision by outlining their aspirations with a clear and concise list of goals which will help guide and focus our efforts throughout the design process.

U N D E R S T A N D
We map the client’s marketplace, research the industry, find out who they are and where they fit into the market. This step is key in defining the specific visual trends in the industry, what style is most prominent and what the client’s competitors’ look and feel is to then ultimately identify ways to make the client stand out.

E X P L O R E
Using the information gathered in steps 1 and 2 we seek to create, innovate and modernise a look to bring the client’s visual identity into a realm above the rest. Concepts are developed into refined branding mocks including logo, colour, typography, graphic devices ect.

P I T C H
We meet with the client to present options, explain design choices and get initial reactions and comments. We then handover these concepts to the client to examine, deliberate and return with feedback.

I M P L E M E N T
We partner with the client to put the final design solution into action and seamlessly connect the elements into a bespoke, consistant, sustainable finished product across business collateral and other branding assets.
