Summersite
CHALLENGE
'Summersite' is an online platform with articles about travel, surfing and fashion with a focus on exceptional photography. This 'chasing the sun' and 'endless summer' vibe takes you on a journey through the eyes of Summersite's travelling photographers and our task was to take it to print.
The founder of Summersite, Jon Laurenson worked with JFD to design a magazine which was essentially a materialisation of the website in the name of print. The aesthetic challenge put forward was that each feature article was to be designed differently, to match the particular article's content, hence the variety of styles in these given spreads. The Summersite is a 250 page, 260mm x 280mm magazine, printed and released in March of 2016 and is still for sale at Summersite.com. The last few photos here include the invite I designed for the launch of the magazine and a few shots of us at the launch party. The first is Jon Laurenson (Publisher) on the right, Claudia rose (Summersite team member) in the middle and me (Jesse) on the left.
